It began as a dream of an ideal place for Mr. and Mrs. Yao to sit, relax, and enjoy good food while interacting with the fans and local community.

A group of friends, local restaurant owners, and Mr. and Mrs. Yao, joined hands together to create a new concept by offering the basic essentials of quality food and personalized services.

Our goal is to cultivate pride, support our local community, and provide a place to support our home basketball team, the Houston Rockets, Yao Restaurant & Bar was born.

Here at Yao we have gone to extended lengths to create a dining environment that will complement the great cuisine that you will have cached and every time you come to visit us. We have spent vast amounts of time to create a Traditional Chinese décor infused with a modern look and feel for comfort.
